Where Do You Go for Cheap Deals Online Now

People really expect to get lower prices when they buy online. Of course, buying online is convenient and all, but it can just seem like there's no point whatsoever to buying on the Internet if you can't get cheap deals online. It actually feels to most like it really should be cheaper to buy online when they see all these retailers on the Internet, and they can quickly go back and forth and check everything out. What's the use if you can't even knock 10% off something?

So, short of checking out every website, how do you snag those cheap deals online that you crave?

Well, price comparison websites are one way to go. Those, and their latter-day cousins, the smartphone apps that do the same thing, are all very convenient. Whether you're shopping at a real store or going in online, you can quickly check one of these websites out and see if the product you have your eye on is worth buying at a certain price. About one out of two shoppers online will shop around extensively anyway.

When it comes to buying something like a television that's expensive and that has a reputation for having prices that vary widely from store to store, nearly everyone will shop around. Price comparison engines are quite useful for this kind of thing.

They are not as useful as they used to be though. These days, the Google Shopping search engine will only publish listings from retailers who pay for them. And so, you can't really find any of the smaller, less wealthy retailers who may have really cheap prices. You don't even get to see Amazon's listings there, anymore. They don't pay Google Shopping. Nearly every search engine does this paid-listings thing now. They argue that if a retailer is interested in doing good business and supplying customers with information, he should pay to get listed.

There are other problems here to think about, too. Many retailers like Amazon, change their prices three or four times a day. Even if you do go to a comparison shopping website like ConsumerWorld, they won't really  update their prices as often. You just get yesterday's news.

And so, if you're really interested in winning cheap deals online, go with the best that today's Internet has to offer. Use the Compare feature on Bing Shopping. Use Decide;or Pronto.
