Great Little Hair Removal Tips to Use at Home

The beauty salons do brisk business in hair removal, come summer. Everyone needs to show a bit of skin (or quite a bit sometimes), and hair in the wrong places can just totally ruin the look. Now salons can certainly charge a lot of money for something as simple as hair removal. It would be a good idea that to learn a few skills yourself. If you're interested in looking smooth and slinky at little expense, there are lots of great ways you can achieve the look you desire right at home.

Let's start with shaving. Before you begin to shave anything, look closely and study the hair. Is it fine and wispy hair or is that somewhat tough and coarse? If it's fine and wispy hair, that's the only kind of their you should ever shave. Coarse hair that's like a man's beard is going to leave your skin looking like a man's beard area.

If you choose shaving as your hair removal method because your hair is the right kind, make sure that you do it after you've been in a hot shower 5 minutes, the hot water make your pores open up, and everything becomes easier to deal with.

It's an important hair removal trick to exfoliate before you try to shave. Just use some kind of exfoliating scrub in the shower, wait until everything is nice and warm, and then do the deed. When you are finished, you are to wait for your skin to cool down so that your pores will close up. And then, you dab on something like Neutrogena’s Body Oil Original Light Sesame Formula. It'll be a great way to soothe your skin and make everything smooth.

When you're looking at hair that's that's kind of coarse, you have no choice but to wax. That's the only hair removal method that works for that kind of hair. The thing with waxing though is that waxing strips need at least a quarter inch of hair to grab onto. It won't work otherwise. You need to wait until your hair at least that long. Now there are still old-fashioned waxing products out there like honey wax. That's a bad idea though. Try something new like the Poetic Waxing At-Home hair Removal Kit. You can heat it in the microwave, and it works really well.

Just so that you can be sure that there are no ingrown hairs or razor bumps, just use a product like the Completely Bare Razor Bump Blaster between waxes.
