How to get rid of German roaches

People usually only know how to tell between the two main kinds of cockroaches in the simplest terms – small ones and large ones. There are actually two distinct species – American and German roaches. If those little roaches – sometimes in sizes so small that you can barely see them – are completely driving you nuts because there are so many of them in so many places, you've got a German roach problem. Most people just feel overwhelmed at some point and wonder if they just have to live with these. But that's not really necessary, of course. You just have to know how to get rid of German roaches – understand how they work.

Most when people look for roaches around the house, and they feel guilty; they feel they must be falling behind in their cleaning if there are actual roaches around. In truth, how clean you keep your house has very little to do with it. They are perfectly happy in a clean house or a dirty house. They just like to live around kitchens and bathrooms where there is at least some moisture somewhere; that's all they need. They don't even need food – when one of their own dies, they just eat them. Here's how to get rid of German roaches – make sure that you catch their nests, wherever they are, you get rid of those.

Keep on the lookout for territorial roach signs – a series of tiny fecal dots stuck on surfaces. That means that there is a roach nest somewhere close by. When you see the nest, you need to swing into action.

You need insecticide spray basically, to get rid of your roaches. No, we're not going to use a couple of large cans of Raid. There are special insecticide mixes that they sell for German roach infestations. You need to dilute it the way the instructions say and put it in a pump spray to use. German roaches mature very soon after they are born. So basically, you need to find a way to break their reproduction cycle. If you don't do this, you can kill as many as you want – even a couple, if they are left behind somewhere, will quickly reproduce and repopulate the earth. You need an insect growth regulator.

You can buy this agent at any home supplies store and spray around. And finally, you need a flushing agent and bait. A flushing agent is insecticide that you are able to pour into cracks and crevices so that he can get the roaches that are deep in there, and then you need bait to catch any last remaining roaches. It may be an elaborate treatment system, but it's necessary.
